Harmonia is seeking high-performing software developer to modernize a crucial government system as a senior member of an agile DevSecOps team. The ideal candidate is a full stack developer with a strong customer focus and effective communication skills. This person should enjoy a challenge and working in a fast-paced environment at the forefront of DevSecOps and agile development. This position is remote with base office in McLean, VA

Responsibilities:
  • Work with team to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications written in Angular and Java (preference for Angular)
  • Work with team to integrate open source, commercial, and government software applications to provide solutions that meet customer requirements
  • Persist in solving complex business and technical challenges; troubleshoot issues
  • Research, test, and build new solutions using Jenkins CI/CD pipeline and tools like Spring Boot, GraphQL, Dockerized containers, AWS EKS
  • Collaborate with team members
  • Complete software engineering activities on-time by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contribute to team meetings; troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms
  • Grow the team's knowledge base by contributing to the team wikis
  • Monitor technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities

Qualifications:
  • 7 years of Angular or Vue and Java programming experience
  • 2 years of experience building web services or clients that expose or consume data through RESTful APIs
  • 5 years of experience designing, developing, or supporting modern systems (e.g., cloud-first, micro-services, modular web front ends)
  • Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or similar field; or comparable experience
  • US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
