Job Summary/Company:

A Sparks Group Partner is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer to join their team. This is a Direct Hire, hybrid position - 2 days/week onsite. If you are interested in learning more about Sparks Group and the opportunity, please submit your resume today.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily activities related to application development, maintenance, and systems administration
  • Evaluate existing applications to determine technical changes, schedule projects, and monitor timelines
  • Perform integration and testing of software components across an entire team
  • Identify potential barriers/issues and find solutions to prevent issues from reoccurring
  • Oversee the work of and provide guidance to junior team members

Qualifications/Background Profile:

  • 5-7 years of full stack experience (including Java and C) with a solid background in DevOps and CI/CD
  • 1 year of experience working in a Cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure)
  • Working knowledge of RHEL in cloud and on-premises environments, specifically with the YUM package management tool
  • Hands-on development experience in Linux (RHEL) platforms
  • Experience with performance tuning of applications in Linux (RHEL) systems
  • Solid scripting skills (KSH, Python, Perl, JavaScript)
  • Highly proficient at automated testing with Robot framework preferred (other testing frameworks acceptable)
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence and Git
