Job Title: Ground Systems Development Specialist-3742 Job Location: National Capital Region (NCR) / Alexandria, VA 22314 Job Summary As a Ground Systems Development Specialist, you will provide space ground system acquisition subject matter expertise and day-to-day program execution, including oversight of existing ground systems acquisitions and initiating new contractual actions. The candidate must be able to provide expertise in the execution of existing ground system software programs and the development of new acquisition contracts. The candidate must be able to provide support to various program actions/activities, including meeting attendance, contract performance tracking, milestone planning, briefing presentation, staff coordination, acquisition risk management and decision document preparation. The candidate must be able to oversee and advise government program management on software integration across a full spectrum of interfaces, to include coordination with multiple mission partners. The candidate must be able to oversee program and capability documentation is sufficiently defined to operationally needed levels, oversee configuration and integration working groups, and coordinate with management to ensure interface definitions support delivery milestones. The candidate must be able to provide support in the development of pre and post contract award documentation activities including request for development of request for proposals, Statement of Objectives, performance work statements and Statement of Work. Skills / Experience Required10+ years of relevant DoD work experience- ACAT I/II level acquisition space programs experience
- Knowledge of and experience in analyzing, drafting, and reviewing space acquisition documents and experience with programs requiring enhanced security measures
- HAF and/or MAJCOM staff experience (2+ years) - Highly desired
Education / Certifications- Bachelor's degree of Science, Physics, or Engineering or related field (MA/MS/ME)
- DAWIA PM Level Ill certification- Highly Desired
Security Clearance Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense (DoD) active security clearance may be required. Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and may include lifting thirty (30) pounds, as necessary.
