What You'll Get to Do

As a Hardware Engineer under general supervision, you will perform a variety of specific professional non-complex engineering tasks to include analysis, design, or test. You will participate on project teams as required and receive close guidance and instruction from more experienced engineers and/or supervisors when working in more complex areas. You will support engineering activities both domestic and international products/services. In addition, assist more senior engineers in the development of RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission line equipment. You will provide support to more experienced engineers in the development and allocation of RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements. You will Identify and track RF technical performance measurements (TPMs). You will aid mid and senior-level engineers in the design of hardware solutions using industry standard design and simulation tools and automated testing frameworks utilizing the latest test equipment.

More About the Role

CACI seeks a talented Junior-level Hardware Engineer to join our Advanced Solutions Group, within the National Security and Innovative Solutions Sector. We are looking for engineers with a desire to design and test new integrated circuits and hardware components for a wide variety of signal processing applications and research. Design, document and validate code (to include firmware) for digital signal processors or other programmable hardware devices such as Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) hardware.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist with testing and troubleshooting existing hardware.

- Aid in performing analysis on components and/or assemblies to assist in the development process

- Analyze hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to document a practical design for hardware components to include servers, network devices, transmission media, storage devices, user interface devices, and special processors

- Be knowledgeable of standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers

- Work with Hardware Engineering Team to complete hardware development, simulation and verification for digital signal processing and general processing projects

- Supporting Integrated Product Teams, to meet all customer objectives and program milestones

- Employ engineering design, development, and testing best practices

- Address technical issues/problems.

You'll Bring These Qualifications

- US Citizenship is required along with active Secret security clearance

- Bachelors or in electrical engineering or related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Hardware Engineer for radio frequency (RF) or SIGINT Solutions

- Use and configure test equipment such as Spectrum analyzers and multimeters

- Must have some understanding of circuit design concepts, patterns, tools, and best practices

- Good analytical skills (ability to analyze and work through non-complex issues)

- Excellent communication skills.
