The HL7 Integration Developer collaborates with analysts/engineers/developers for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of HL7, Web Services and other integration services using enterprise integration engine platforms.

This position joins a team of experienced HL7 interface developers supporting an expanding number of hospitals within the UVA Health System. The primary responsibility is to support development and implementation of interfaces between Electronic Medical Record systems, departmental clinical and business applications, external business partners and regulatory agencies. Additionally, this role performs post-implementation interface related activities including interface monitoring, develops enhancements, performs data analysis and issue resolution and supports upgrade activities. Experience preferred with Intersystems Ensemble/IRIS and Epic Bridges.

This position is eligible for a fully Remote work environment.Position Compensation Range: $30.13 - $48.21 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's Degree desired but not required.Experience: 3 years of HL7 design/implementation and hospital workflow experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Licensure: Intersystems Healthshare Health Connect HL7 Interface Specialist, HL7 certification or Epic Bridges certification desired but not required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings.
