HR Generalist- Part Time

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a HR Generalist- Part Time in the non-profit industry based in Norfolk, Virginia. This role will involve assisting with various HR functions such as employee relations, benefits administration, and recruiting functions. The position allows a flexible working schedule and the possibility of remote or hybrid working arrangements.Responsibilities: Assist in the onboarding process of new employees, ensuring smooth transitions into the organization. Conduct employee reviews to assess performance and identify areas of improvement. Handle employee relations issues efficiently and professionally, fostering a positive work environment. Support in recruiting activities, utilizing various job boards and recruitment channels for sourcing potential candidates. Oversee the administration of employee benefits and retirement plans, ensuring all employees are well informed and benefit functions are running smoothly. Manage the process of conducting background checks for potential employees. Assist in the preparation and distribution of offer letters to new hires. Carry out exit interviews for departing employees, gathering valuable feedback for organizational improvement.
