Apex Clean Energy’s People Operations team is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Operations Specialist with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience to join our growing, dynamic Human Resources department. Reporting directly into the Director of Human Resources, this role will focus on general administrative support across all key HR functions including talent acquisition, benefits and leave administration, learning and development, onboarding and offboarding processes, as well as generalized team support. This role will specialize in HR metrics and data analytics. A strong analytical mindset is essential, as this position will play a key role in tracking and reporting on HR KPIs and metrics to support data-driven decision-making.Primary Responsibilities Data Analysis & Reporting:Track, analyze, and report on key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, time-to-hire, engagement survey data).Support the development and maintenance of dashboards and visual reporting tools.Identify trends and areas for improvement based on HR data insights.Generate HR reports and dashboards to support business goals.Collect and consolidate data from multiple HR systems (e.g., HRIS, LMS, ATS) to ensure accuracy and completeness.Maintain data integrity and perform regular audits across HR platforms to identify and resolve inconsistencies.Generate recurring and ad-hoc HR reports for leadership and stakeholders to support strategic initiatives.Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis, offering actionable insights for continuous improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align reporting needs and optimize data utilization across HR functions.General HR Administration:Providing guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and workplace issues.Maintain and update employee records in compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.Assisting in resolving employee concerns or conflicts, escalating as needed.Assisting with compliance programs (e.g., training, documentation for audits).Helping to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws.Support employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, offboarding, and internal transitions.Benefits & Leave Administration: Assisting employees with questions about benefits, leaves of absence, and open enrollment.Learning & Development Administration: Assisting with coordination of training schedules, managing LMS, and tracking metrics.Supporting updates and communication of HR policies and the employee handbook.Assist in tracking and monitoring of department budget.Onboarding & Offboarding Administration:Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, including documentation, orientation scheduling, and system access setup.Administer offboarding procedures such as exit interviews, final paperwork, equipment returns, and access removal.Recruiting & Team Coordination:Assist with job postings, candidate sourcing, candidate screening, and interview scheduling across various roles and business units.Coordinate recruitment logistics between hiring managers and candidates to ensure best-in-class candidate experience.Support recruiters and hiring managers throughout the full-cycle recruiting process, with potential to own and manage one or more requisitions independently.Assist with job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling.Collaborate on recruiting projects such as talent pipelining, employer branding, and process improvement initiatives.
