The HVAC work includes, but is not limited to the servicing, maintenance, and repair of the following:25 -ton cooling systems with strip heat for load and humidity control externally mounted and ducted to the ROTHR Power Amplifier (PA) Shelters.35 -ton heating/cooling units externally mounted on ROTHR Site Monitor (SM) Shelters and a computer interfaced automation control system used to upload, monitor, and control the Distech PLC controller modules on the Transmit Site's HVAC units.The work generally requires working from Commercial Manuals, blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications; locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical/HVAC system or equipment working standard computations relating to electrical load and refrigeration requirements on electrical and/or HVAC equipment; and using a variety of hand tools. measuring and testing instruments. Will be required to work cooperatively with RADAR Electronics technicians to solve complex radar system problems involving interrelationship of electrical, electronic, HVAC, and mechanical systems; will be required to work cooperatively with RADAR Electronics technicians to solve complex radar system problems involving interrelationship of electrical, electronic, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Performs all other related duties as assigned and required.Required Experience and Skills:Technical experience in installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC and electrical equipment on complex industrial systems.Practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, HVAC, and electrical work.Experience with the or repair leaks, knowledge of electrical controls & refrigerant fundamental, plus ability to evacuate and recharge HVAC systems.Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Office, and/or Visio Software.Must have a clean motor vehicle driving record to obtain authorization to drive company vehicles.U.S. Citizenship required.Required Education, Certifications, and / or Licenses:High School Diploma or equivalent.
