ResponsibilitiesIMG has an opening for Information Systems Security Engineer to support our government customers' global enterprise networks. Network Architecture provides solutions for modernizing the network components while supporting service delivery for customer requirements in a mission-focused operational enterprise. The job duties of the Information Systems Security Engineer are as follows:- Network liaison to program Information Assurance (IA) team. Respond to IA requests for engineering support. Learn IA processes and how they apply to engineering practices.
- Provide responses to security controls, findings, and liens as part of the accreditation process for numerous assets
- Improve security posture of standard configurations by developing configurations that meet Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements and other industry standards
- Provide security inputs to network architecture and standard designs
- Assist engineers with Operating System upgrades for network equipment
- Assist engineers with daily customer requirements to provide documented networking solutions
- Develop and improve design products, processes, and systems.
- Network engineering and network IA experience specific to Campus Area and Local Area Networks.
- Experience with System Security Plans (SSPs), Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&Ms), and network scanning as a network engineer or similar role.
- Ability to describe IA processes as they apply to engineering and describe network configurations as they apply to network security.
- Demonstrates initiative and discipline to work unsupervised as part of a network engineering team.
- Experience establishing processes, developing documents, and organizing repositories is a plus.
