Instructional Designer (Designer Change) Location: Hybrid schedule that reports to Vienna, VA Pay Rate: Open to Both C2C and W2 options Position Type: Multiyear Contract

Description: The Instructional Designer will report into the Enterprise Change Team and be assigned to plan and manage instructional design projects and learning initiatives associated with Building Change Capability efforts for the Client. He or she will design, develop, pilot, gather feedback, deploy, and maintain instructional courses tailored to meet the desired learning outcomes and needs of the Client and the learners. This role will collaborate to implement strategies for educating and training employees to achieve higher levels of performance. He or she may utilize a variety of techniques to define and sequence instructional content and strategies, including creating and refreshing curricula via a test-and-learn approach by gathering feedback from subject matter experts and representative end users. This role may operate independently under general supervision. He or she is a proactive self-starter, effective in both team settings and as an individual contributor and is flexible and adaptable to pivot learning designs and solutions to meet the evolving needs of the Client's stakeholders.

Responsibilities: • Create dynamic instructional and training materials using current technologies including references and support tools that reinforce training, increase efficiency and help produce error-free work-

Expert • Collaborate with others to plan and design courses and curricula; ensure accuracy of content and test multimedia elements -

Lead • Involved in instructional design project teams with multiple deliverables, significant risk and complexity -

Lead • Develop and test course content, training games, graphic designs and other technology driven products -

Expert • Develop classroom, on-line and/or independent learning program content that transfers knowledge effectively and brings about desired behavior change -

Expert • Develop instructional strategies and courses for a business unit and/or cross-company products and skills -

Expert • Conduct needs assessment on request from business unit management to provide customized training or individual guidance to improve and develop performance -

Complex analysis • In partnership with Learning & Development, create and edit new LMS learning activities; set up required training assignments in LMS; create custom LMS reports • Design and use quantitative and qualitative methods to determine if knowledge transferred effectively and/or the desired behavior change occurred after training -

Advanced analysis • Evaluate the effectiveness of courses, learning products and delivery methods to ensure that the desired learning objectives and goals are achieved

- Expert • Provide information about new or advanced instructional theories and tools to other designers and/or trainers -

Advanced • Select most effective instructional approach including a blend of instructor-led and/or self-directed techniques -

Expert • Select, modify, or establish a design and development model appropriate for a given project; analyze learning needs to assist in establishing learning objectives -

Expert • Train internal team members on effective use and delivery of classroom materials including ILT and VILT and environments -

Expert • Validate and integrate feedback, assessments and course evaluations into current and new training course content and/or delivery vehicle -

Expert • Conduct presentations for various groups including executive leadership -

Advanced • Lead, guide, and mentor less experienced staff -

Advanced 2 • Perform other duties as assigned • Remains cognizant of and adheres to the Client's policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act

Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Education, business, communication, behavioral sciences, training development or related field or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience • Ability to manage against multiple priorities and adapt to fluctuating workflow • Ability to compile, organize and present information clearly and concisely • Experience in working and participating in cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects • Significant experience in evaluating the effectiveness of courses and learning products and delivery methods • Significant experience in researching/writing course content and/or developing courses, demonstrations, graphic designs and other technology driven products • Advanced knowledge of instructional design to develop courses for products, processes and/or skills • Expert knowledge of instructional theories, educational psychology, educational theory, tools and resources • Advanced organizational, planning and time management skills • Advanced research, analytical, and problem solving skills • Advanced skill capturing and translating processes and requirements into easily understood terms • Advanced skill in assessing training needs and researching topics for course development • Advanced skill in building strategic and execution-focused plans and alliances with partner leadership • Advanced skill interacting tactfully and effectively in difficult situations • Advanced skill to successfully influence, lead and/or guide others towards goals • Advanced verbal and written communication skills • Effective database and presentation software skills • Effective skill collaborating with various external and internal technical and/or functional contacts • Effective skill communicating with all levels within an organization • Effective skill guiding and training less experienced staff • Effective word processing, powerpoint, and spreadsheet software skills • Desired - Significant experience in multi-media training tools and methods • Desired - Experience with graphical design software, tools and methods • Desired - Experience developing learning offerings on organizational change management (OCM) concepts • Desired - Experience delivering organizational change management (OCM) services in a corporate setting • Desired - Knowledge of the Client organizational environment, programs, policies and procedures • Desired - Project management experience and/or certifications
