Our work depends on Instructional Developer Advisor joining our team to lead projects and people supporting training and career development activities for federal government clients. The person in this position will oversee the production and execution of virtual learning programs (webinars, web-based training, and virtual conferences), in-person instructor-led training, and performance materials including user guides, blogs and other career-related resources. Design, development, and facilitation skills are a must.HOW AN INSTRUCTIONAL DEVELOPER ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Lead teams in developing business strategies for new and existing products that meet government training needs

Consult with government agencies, subject matter experts and instructional designers to learn requirements and build innovative training programs and content

Develop training materials including instructor guides, student guides, supplemental training materials such as quick reference guides, web-based training, and other training content, as needed

Lead efforts in planning, developing, managing and evaluating in-person, online and hybrid training programs

Lead learning technology initiatives, including webinars, online courses, self-paced e-learning and streaming video

Prepare regular program content and messaging (course descriptions, learning objectives, outreach emails, etc.)

Interact directly with customers to manage and support project-related activities including scheduling, quality assurance, and managing budgets.

Conduct research for relevant learning program content

Assist with the preparation of business proposals and contract reporting activities as needed

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:● Education: Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, e-learning, instructional design or related field. Master's Degree preferred● Required Experience: 8+ years of experience developing and supporting online learning and other learning technologies preferred● Required Technical Skills:

Excellent understanding and application of all phases of the ADDIE process.

Working knowledge of Section 508 compliance, and conversion of training and supporting documentation into 508 compliant products.

Knowledge of major online delivery and content sharing platforms (i.e. ON24, WebEx, Adobe Connect, Blackboard, SharePoint, etc.)

● Security Clearance Level: Current DHS U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) BI Clearance or Secret Clearance required or must have the ability to obtain one.● Required Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge and application of adult learning theory.

Experience facilitating training in-person in a traditional classroom setting or on-line via virtual classrooms

Experience or training in developing learning design documents, storyboards, and e-learning prototypes.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
