Working with a mentor, the intern will learn the basic concepts of electric distribution protection, reliability, operations, constructions, standards, and design. Using modeling and other software, the intern will assist with the creation of protective device settings and calculations as well as sizing portion equipment. Moreover, other tasks maybe assigned associated with distribution protection. The intern will be expected to learn and understand Dominion Energy’s corporate culture of safety, ethics, excellence, embrace change, and one Dominion Energy.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience Enrolled in a 4-year Electrical engineering degree from an ABET accredited Electrical engineering program based on the year that the engineering program was accredited by ABET. Students should have a graduation date of spring 2026 or later. Must have a 2.5 GPA or greater. Introduction to engineering concepts and fundamentals. Personal computer software applications including Microsoft Office. Verbal, written and interpersonal communication; time management and organization; math and technical aptitude. Effectively interact and work in a team environment; attention to detail; understand and apply workflow process.
