Basic Purpose To serve as the subject matter expert for an assigned area providing operational support to the organization. Ensure department objectives are met in operational stability, efficiency, asset management, change control, performance management, metric development, security, and integrity of systems. Provide operational support input for application analysis, code review, design, and programming functions.

Responsibilities

o Responsible for system and security administration of middleware serviceso Provide administration of IBM WebSphere product family and IBM DataPower, including but not limited to: • WebSphere MQ Administration (version 9.x) • App Connect Enterprise (ACE version 12.x) • WebSphere Liberty • WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment (8.5, 9.x) • DataPower • IBM HTTP Server (Web Server)o Lead and coordinate availability and performance monitoring activities, and execution of scheduled maintenance activities o Oversee and coordinate recovery operations in the event of operational failure - Limited Latitudeo Recommend, develop, and maintain complete and accurate documentation for supported environments o Perform analysis of applications and enhancements for process improvement or re-engineering - Basic/Routineo Coordinate, document and evaluate unit testing for software defects - Assist in Leadingo Ensure compliance with NFCU's ISD standards, practices and processes o Initiate and prioritize multiple activities for assigned support area for completion of functions - Limited Latitude o Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve recurring technical problems - Basico Performance tuning, monitoring, installation, upgrades, and license managemento Coordinate integration of solutions with existing applications; identify and resolve existing and potential conflicts to ensure compatibility - Narrow Scopeo Serve on teams and task groups for projects/initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization o Perform engineering technology research, procurement, deployment, and configuration for new and modified systems - Basic/Routineo Build and maintain effective relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders and/or external contacts (vendors, etc.)o Ensure clear, concise and effective communication of material - Assist in Leadingo Lead, guide and mentor less experienced staffo Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

o Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceo Strong verbal and written communication skills (presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely) o Organizational, planning and time management skillso Exposure to working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors o Skill interacting with staff, management, stakeholders and vendors diplomatically and tactfullyo Understanding of IBM WebSphere product family and related network architecture on multiple operating systems (Unix/Linux) and IBM DataPower, including but not limited to: • WebSphere MQ Administration (version 9.x) • App Connect Enterprise (ACE version 12.x) • WebSphere Liberty • WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment (8.5, 9.x) • DataPower • IBM HTTP Server (Web Server)o Exposure to Information Technology operations performance, reliability, and availability metrics o Exposure and understanding of server shell scripting in a unix/linux environmento Good understanding of build and deploy procedureso Strong experience in working with server teams and understanding of server configurations for large JEE applicationso Strong understanding of configuring clustering and load balancing for server productso Strong understanding of networking conceptso Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillso Familiarity with development and/or operations framework methodologies, including Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), etc.

o Master's degree in Information Technology o Exposure to leading, guiding and mentoring others o Certifications in Azure or AWSo Certifications in IBM productso Familiarity with banking/financial industry standards and practices o Familiarity with cloud and Site Reliability Engineeringo Familiarity with Ansible o Experience creating scripts (WsAdmin, Shell, Perl, ANT, Jython, Python and Jacl)o Familiarity with Docker, Kuberneteso Familiarity with NFCU's products, services, programs, policies and procedures o Good knowledge of container-based applicationo Experience to manage Swarm Cluster and container-based applicationso Good design and deployment level knowledge of the JEE Framework and its components and working knowledge in most of the following areas: EJB, JSP, Servlets, Logging mechanism (Log4J), XML SPY, SQL Developer, JSF, JMS, JDBC, Java Transaction Management, Thread Management, Developing Asynchronous Java Processes

Salary Range: $74,400-$168,400 anually
