Clearance: TopSecret No travel for ISSO’s, location needs to sit at SA21 Springfield Va, Rosslyn, need to be onsite 2-3 times per week. Job Description:- Develop, implement, test and review DOS FPT information security in order to protect information and prevent unauthorized access.- Develop and support a security enhancement change control process to ensure coordination of changes and help eliminate or reduce negative impacts of security changes.- Develop reports, white papers, and notifications to inform clients about security measures, explain potential threats, install software, implement security measures and monitor networks.- Responsible for gathering information necessary to maintain security and establish functioning external barriers such as firewalls and other security measures.- Review systems in order to identify potential security weaknesses, recommend improvements to amend vulnerabilities, implement changes and document upgrades. Required Qualifications: - Eight or more years of ISSO experience and a Top Secret. - 6 years of progressive security and security change control experience- 6 years of experience working in/leading an IT enterprise team for a Federal Agency- 3 years of experience integrating new telecommunications security technology into Federal Gov enterprise level networks- 6 years’ experience preforming, documenting, and support Federal security ATTs/ATOs and POAMS. In addition, many employers prefer candidates who are Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP) according to the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium.- Candidates must be highly analytical and effectively able to troubleshoot and prioritize needs, requirements and other issues. Desired Qualifications: Minimum a bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or five years of comparable work experience. Proven experience/work within the DOS at the enterprise level, 5 years of complex systems integration leveraging voice and data over a world-wide Federal enterprise network, CCNA or CCNP, Avaya Red certification.
