It's all part of what makes #MyRichmondFed a great place to work!About the Opportunity Our National IT Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (OCISO) Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team has an immediate opening for an Experienced IT Advisor. As the Exp. IT Advisor, you will report to the Sr. Manager- Governance, Risk & Compliance and play a key role in the execution and evolution of National IT's governance and risk management strategy.This position will provide support, coordination, and facilitation of activities within GRC and other NIT divisions to support the GRC Group VP and the GRC Leadership Team in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. With a broad spectrum of responsibilities and visibility into all facets of National IT, System IT and the Federal Reserve System, this position has access to and regularly works with sensitive and highly confidential information. Assignments are varied and require a high level of evaluation, ingenuity, and critical thinking. Leads the research, analysis and evaluation of complex issues and special projects to assist in the implementation of programs developed and initiated by the officer. Provides project management support, research, and industry intelligence on key initiatives, as well as makes recommendations on complex issues. Additional position requirements include serving as a Risk Liaison to key Executive Stakeholders which requires independent decision-making ability where decision may have significant impact on Business Process requirements, National IT operations or support areas. Decisions made could have significant impact on department, National IT as a whole. Must have experience at senior levels in advising to lead or support cross-organizational change geared toward reducing reputational, operational, human capital, financial or other risks.What You Will Do:- Provide support to officer in carrying out their leadership and managerial responsibilities. Perform the necessary research and gathering of pertinent background information that provides relevant and meaningful content. Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure officer is briefed and aware of issues.
- Lead the preparation for all meetings and internal / external speaking engagements including preparing agendas, confirming presenters, and ensuring appropriate timely and strategic meeting content. Compose complex correspondence dealing with issues and confidential subject matter that require the highest levels of sensitivity, discretion, judgment, or negotiation in replying to inquiries and/or presenting or requesting information. Coordinate with GRC Administrative Assistant to ensure proper updates for conference calls and meetings and follow-through on resulting action items and requests.
- Provide ongoing strategic support for the Objective Key Results (OKRs), strategic initiatives and other key roles and responsibilities. At the direction of the officer, plan and direct the assignments of operational staff as it relates to OKRs. Ensure projects are moving forward by serving as a key participant on related work groups, providing key reports and updates, and anticipating and suggesting solutions to mitigate project barriers.
- Perform independently on subjects that are sensitive in nature requiring judgment, discretion, and coordination with others. Prioritize multiple work assignments to meet deadlines. Complete special project assignments, as required and assigned.
- Identifies and works to address gaps, inefficiency, or other opportunities to streamline administrative or other routine activities within GRC and to share success stories related to process improvement
- Establishes, leads, and coordinates department-wide activities supporting GRCs mission and business objectives
- Coordinates departmental and governance communications with special attention given to cross-District team members to ensure that communications are inclusive and provide resources that align with various Reserve Banks
- Effectively communicate highly complex issues in a concise and purposeful manner to executive management
- Build and maintain relationships across System and department stakeholder groups, leading interactions that add value and optimize efficiencies
- Engage with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategic solutions that drive proactive risk management practices and reduce residual risks within a rapidly changing environment
- Serve as the link between GRC Senior Leadership and the rest of the team, setting the tone for messaging and continuing to shape the team's culture
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 3 to 5+ yeas in IT Governance, Risk and Compliance, Project Management, or related functions
- Demonstrate strong people skills and excellent organizational time and task management skills
- Ability to tailor communications to their appropriate audience and present information in a credible, confident, and influential manner. Communicate in a concise, direct, and purposeful way that tells the story
- Exhibit confidence in ability to be flexible with multiple paths to arrive at a goal, adaptable to thinking on your feet and changing course, open minded to different perspectives and comfortable with failure until arriving at a winning solution
- Highly motivated skills to collaborate and drive activities of assigned unit(s), participates in and implement large, highly complex operating or business plans, orchestrate team efforts to provide high quality deliverables, meet department objectives and make strategic and notable contributions in attainment of Business Operations, FRIT, and System IT goals.
- Ability to communicate / present information at all levels within FRIT and in System forums or external settings in a credible, confident, and influential manner.
- Self-starter with initiative, follow through, and ability to work independently to complete individual and departmental assignments with tight deadlines.
- In-depth management-level expertise in administration, planning, documentation, and support to service a large automation environment with multiple, complex, and diverse requirements and initiatives.

- The national hiring range for the Enterprise Risk Advisor is $90,400 - $113,000 annually. For candidates in certain markets (Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Los Angeles, CA; New York City Metro Area, Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA), the listed hiring and salary ranges may be adjusted based on your geographic location.
