DescriptionAre you a Junior Engineer looking for an awesome opportunity?Leidos is seeking a junior engineering technician to provide Building Information Modeling (BIM) support for engineers on a DoD program.Primary Responsibilities: Develop various engineering and technical data into models useable by engineers through Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) Utilize CADD/BIM systems including AutoCAD, and specifically Revit 3D modeling, and other software databases such as word processing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint to provide support engineers. Ensures use of CADD and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) is consistent with sound engineering principles and practices. Consult with project leaders to assure detailing of data is compatible with the conditions being written and to furnish information required to meet the specifications. Confer with assignment originators as necessary to obtain additional or clarifying information, or to offer suggested revisions. Develop, maintain and share a thorough knowledge of CADD and REVIT operational techniques and standards.Basic Qualifications:
This position REQUIRES that you either possess a TS/SCI clearance in-scope/active or be willing and able to obtain TS/SCI with polygraph prior to start. This requires US Citizenship.
Must have a Bachelor's degree OR 2 years experience in lieu of degree
1-2 years of specialized experience: developing various engineering and technical data scope of designs and complexity into forms useable by engineers for civil, military projects using techniques such as Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD), Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other software databases.
Must live in the WMA and be willing to work in the Reston, VA office.
Preferred Qualifications:Ideally your resume will demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience in the following: Familiarity with building BIM Revit models and integrating architectural, structural, HVAC, power, communications, and plumbing systems. Using Revit to develop In-house construction documents.
