Timmons Group is currently seeking a Landscape Architect III / Project Manager to join our Charlottesville, VA office location.Our award-winning landscape architecture and land planning studio offers an extensive range of consulting and design support to urban, commercial, parks and recreation, economic development, environmental, transportation, residential and government clients across multiple markets. Applicants should exhibit a diverse range of project experience and be motivated with excellent design, graphic, written and presentation skills. Candidates should be licensed professionals, possess excellent communication skills, and should have project management experience or necessary skills or interest in management.Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:Collaborate with senior project managers, principals, and other team members in the office on a variety of project types and scales.Oversees, manages, schedules, and produces work during all phases of design and construction for landscape architecture related projects for public and private clients.Communicate with clients during all phases of design and construction.Review all design documents and specifications for quality control and compliance with company standards.Prepare proposals and construction cost estimates.Communicate with colleagues effectively in-person and remotely, across multiple sectors and offices.Oversee construction administration efforts for projects under construction.Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:Bachelor or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program is required. Licensure preferred, but not required. Virginia licensed Landscape Architect or licensure from another state with ability to obtain reciprocity. LEED or SITES Accreditation preferred but not required.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Land F/X, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, 3-D modeling and Microsoft programs. Strong technical knowledge and experience taking projects from pre-design through construction.Ability to produce quality work and direct the work of others.A minimum of 8 years’ professional experience in landscape architecture field.
