Position supports construction project managers by providing administrative and order processing services for construction projects. This position will serve as the first line of communication for the contractors and vendors in the field with regards to delivery dates and responses to traffic/delivery issues. Position will interact with vendors, contractors and Dollar Tree/ Family Dollar personnel on a regular basis. Performs specialized task assignments on an as needed basis. Assist with workflow for the Construction Assistants Resource for the Construction Assistant team for questions on process Assist with handling escalation of issues that may arise with General Contractors, Vendors and Project Managers and Directors Assist and be responsible for providing support to the Manager of Construction Administration as needed and with development of processes and procedures The ability to deal with many types of individual personalities, needs, and requests, while maintaining a professional attitude is a key to succeeding in this rolePrincipal Duties and Responsibilities - Primary responsibilities listed in order of importance Support project managers by providing administrative and order processing support for up to 800 + construction projects. Communicate with Project Managers, Vendors and General Contractors in the field regarding construction and delivery issues Manage and prioritize a high volume of emails (upwards of 100 or more per day) Complete tasks, including but not limited to, issuing POs, change orders, managing accruals, and material chargebacks Code Vendor requisitions to ensure they correlate to the proper accounting unit Department reviews and issues approximately 250 plus Construction Memos within a Fiscal Year and post to the Company Portal Become familiar with various fixture types (30+) and what vendors supply them Basic knowledge of how to read floor plans and layouts Assist with system and process training of new Construction Project Managers, Vendors, and General Contractors to ensure the onboarding process goes smoothly Handle escalation of issues that may arise with General Contractors, Vendors, Project Manager or Directors Keep all process manuals, contact listing updated Assist and be responsible for providing support to the Manager of Construction Administration as needed and with the development of processes and procedures Assist with training new associates and cross-training existing associates Assist with Construction Assistant daily tasks due to high demand or absenteeism Complete miscellaneous tasks to help ensure completion of projects and support Store Design and Construction Department as neededMinimum Requirements/Qualifications - Summary of knowledge, experience and education required. High school graduate or GED equivalent Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Minimum required typing speed of 45 wpm Extensive experience in word-processing, spreadsheet and web-based software applications Strong business writing skills, [efficient] effective communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Excellent phone skills and solid clerical skills Detail-oriented and able to work in a strong team environment Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team Must possess a high degree of organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize projects Must have the ability to recognize the need for action and quickly arrive at accurate decisions Ability to direct associates to be teams in efficient and team building mannerDesired Qualifications - Desired but not required.
