Job Description

As a Lead Federal Technology Architect in Cerner Government Services you will evaluate existing and proposed systems and system enhancements to determine requirements and ensure client integration solutions meet organizational needs. You will design and develop solutions to integrate applications between Cerner and federal client systems as well as create and document visual representations of systems and their inputs and outputs. This role will allow you to partner with Cerner and client delivery teams to implement integration solutions within defined project scope. In scope will be to collaborate with engineering teams, development teams, client end users, and other stakeholders as appropriate as well as troubleshoot and debug system issues to increase integration performance and quality of data. You will optimize maintenance and deployments to ensure integrated functioning. As a people manager you will seek to understand disagreements, ensure all perspectives are heard and facilitate a plan for resolution. You will delegate the work appropriately, provide clear expectations and follow up to ensure progress and overcome roadblocks. Identify associates and team priorities based on business direction and adjust when needed. This role will allow you to lead by example and share knowledge and experiences with associates and team as well as create a respectful work environment where you advocate for your team, create accountability and recognize accomplishments. You will provide timely feedback to encourage success, ensure accountability and connect opportunities for your associates' development. Finally, you will identify the right talent to achieve the desired results. Promote and build a diverse and cohesive team to accomplish objectives and align associates' skills to fill gaps.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of total combined higher education and related work experience including:
    • At least 3 years of system engineering and/or system architecture work experience
    • At least 7 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job
      • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Visio experience desired
  • Strong teamwork and communications skills are expected

Expectations:
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to an already virtually approved location
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% as needed
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
