LEAD FULL STACK JAVA DEVELOPER ALTA IT Services has a 12 month contract opening for a Lead Full Stack Java Developer to join a respected, Reston, VA -based health insurance customer. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Working within scrum team of developers, testers, Scrum Master, and BAs to complete user stories; Working on various types of frontend/backend functionality to support functional enhancements, POCs, and analysis This position remains COVID remote for the foreseeable future.

TOOL STACK: Java / J2EE 8+ , Spring 4+, Spring Boot, API Management tools, Spring Batch, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular 8+, Bootstrap, WebSphere 9+, Tomcat 9+, Agile, Jenkins or Sonar, Git or BitBucket. Nice to have Db2, AWS and/or 508 accessibility expertise.

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Must have extensive experience working with Java/J2EE 8+ and Spring 4+
  • Must have extensive experience with web services and understanding of RESTful / SOA Services, especially using Spring Boot
  • Nice to have experience in working with API Management Tools.
  • Must have strong experience with batch applications (Spring Batch) and scheduling
  • Must have strong experience with working on front end applications using JavaScript, jQuery, Angular 8+ and Bootstrap.
  • Nice to have experience working on and resolving 508 Accessibility for webpages, mobile/responsive, and documents
  • Must have strong experience working with WebSphere 9+ and Tomcat 9+
  • Nice to have experience working on Cloud technologies (AWS)
  • Must have extensive experience with DB2 and Mainframe systems and SQL queries
  • Must have extensive experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Must have strong experience in continuous integration within DevOps environment (Jenkins, Sonar).
  • Must have strong experience in working with GIT/BitBucket.
  • Must have data integration/ETL development experience, preferably with Ab Initio and Big Data (HBase/Solr)
  • Must have Java 8+ development experience with ability to develop unit / integration test cases using Junit /TestNg.
  • Nice to have experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) for automated acceptance tests
  • Must have ability to understand and work with code developed by other developers.
  • Must have ability to work independently.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (in English).

Hourly Rate: $90/hr. range. Benefits available for W2. C2C is OK
