VEGA IS HIRING! Actively searching for a Lead Java Developer for a long-term contract with our direct client in Reston, VA. This role is looking to interview and start the right person, right away!
This role will be remote until it is deemed safe to return to the office. Once it is safe, candidates must be able to work on a hybrid schedule. Local candidates preferred. Responsibilities include but not limited to:- Working within scrum team of developers, testers, Scrum Master, and BAs to complete user stories
- Working on various types of frontend/backend functionality to support functional enhancements, POCs, and analysis
- Working with architects to create detailed design for implementation from architecture design
- Develop, test, and deploy code according to standards and best practices
- 10+ years of experience
- Must have extensive experience working with Java/J2EE 8+ and Spring 4+
- Must have extensive experience with web services and understanding of RESTful / SOA Services, especially using Spring Boot
- Must have strong experience with batch applications (Spring Batch) and scheduling
- Must have strong experience with working on front end applications using JavaScript, jQuery, Angular 8+ and Bootstrap
- Must have strong experience working with WebSphere 9+ and Tomcat 9+
