Description: Job Title – Lead, Trade Compliance Systems Enhancement Job ID – CHQ20211908-67902 Job Location – Remote Opportunity OR Local to Arlington, VA Job Description: The corporate Global Trade Group (GTG) is seeking a results-oriented professional to help execute a transformational information technology (IT) strategy for the trade compliance function and to further enhance trade compliance business processes. The Lead will be an individual contributor reporting to the GTG Director, Compliance & Operations and will work closely with all teams within GTG. The successful candidate will possess a background in trade compliance, experience in continuous improvement and program management, and familiarity with software requirements development and business systems integration. Job Responsibilities: Helps to create and update the IT Strategic Plan for the trade compliance function.

Works within GTG, the business segments, other functions, and external stakeholders to help execute the IT Strategic Plan.

Works with IT project managers to prepare internal business case presentations to support funding requests.

Advocates Lean Six Sigma methodology, inspection and adaption, and innovative approaches to trade compliance business processes.

Utilizes continuous improvement (CI) skills to enhance the functionality and interoperability of current trade compliance business systems.

Facilitates CI initiatives and events to include e3 projects, kaizen process mapping events and innovation sprints.

Supports the Global Trade University program through development and delivery of applicable training modules and instructional guides, including on CI activities, and the evaluation of tools for optimal training delivery.

Interacts with IT Security to facilitate effective solutions for global trade compliance, including the effective deployment of enterprise tools for data tagging, data loss prevention, and User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA).

Interacts with the IT Applications team and other functions to assess new IT applications and suggests solutions to mitigate trade compliance risks.

Provides support to relevant deliverables under the L3Harris consent agreement.

Efficiently and effectively manages a diverse workload with competing priorities and deadlines.

Completes all assigned duties in timely manner.

Ability to travel as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior related experience. Graduate degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certification in continuous improvement and/or project management.

Analytical skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to multi-task effectively.

Strong inter-personal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of company.

Working experience in database management.

Experience with OCR EASE.

Experience using automated information management systems (i.e., Shared Electronic Work Environments).

Experience with ERP systems and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.

Ability to take initiative and to progress projects independently.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $78,000 - $144,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
