Logistics Specialist (PLM-22-0082-W): Bowhead is seeking a Logistics Specialist to be responsible for packaging, loading and unloading, and distribution and installation of computer hardware and related accessories for classrooms within Government facilities, for our Navy customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing installation support, efficiently operating within a 3-4 man team, and coordinating work activities with our Navy customers. The position will be part of a team supporting the NETC in Norfolk, VA with a period of performance estimated to be through September 2022. The Logistics Specialist will possess a sound understanding of Microsoft applications and networks. As well as proficient in setting up and troubleshooting Microsoft Desktop applications. Essential Responsibilities: • Manage the inspection, shipping, handling, and packaging of supplies and equipment, • Direct personnel who receive inventory and issue supplies and equipment, • Operate computer systems that provide logistic support information, • Provide subject matter expertise related to the delivery and property transfer of electronic equipment fielded to the military and other DoD simulation training centers, • Relocate computer and computer-related equipment to designated areas, • Perform set up and clean up tasks at the worksite, • Work on-site and may be required to travel routinely to CONUS locations to support remote staff and other activities in support of assigned work, • Provide technical assistance and resolve related issues for users and personnel, • Collaborate with internal assets and support team to ensure customer needs are met, • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements In accordance with Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, candidates should be aware that they may be required to have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. • The ideal candidate has at least 1-3 years of recent customer service or admin experience in the logistics industry, has excellent communication and follow-up, can work in a fast-paced environment and meet customers' demands, and is proficient with email and phone communication. • Bachelor's Degree in business, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are preferred but not required • Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communications skills, and time management skills, • Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems • Possess a valid state-issued driver's license. Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 30 pounds, kneeling, standing and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and must be able to work under deadlines. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a Secret security clearance, however candidates with an active Secret clearance are preferred. US Citizenship is required for this location."
