Machinery Repairman

Job DescriptionInsight Global is seeking an Inside Machinist at either the journeyman or specialized level. The candidate will have three main responsibilities. Firstly, they should have experience operating manual Lathes and Mill machines. Secondly, they should be capable of operating Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines. Lastly, they will be responsible for setting up the machine from start to finish.Upon hiring, the machinist will undergo a 3-week training period, during which safety courses will be provided. After the training, they will be assigned a specific machine to operate, which could be Manual Lathes, Manual Mills, CNC Lathes, or CNC Mills.Work is typically project-based. The duration of each project can range from a few hours to a few weeks, depending on the assigned item. The materials used vary in length from 2 feet to 10 feet. Stainless steel is the primary material used, supplemented in addition to small amounts of aluminum and copper.The regular working hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday, onsite in Chesapeake, Virginia.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. 5+ years of being a journeyman/specialist level as an inside machinist

  5+ years of setting up and operating lathe and mill machines

  Knowledge of G&M codes

  Experience with reading drawling's and design

  Experience with stainless steel Ability to work swing shift of 4:00 pm to 1:30 am
