Description:Candidates considered for Operator positions in the Machining department will be operating all CNC and HMI equipment in the machining area (after Heat Treat operations are complete) learning to run, set up, and quality inspect all parts for bearings manufacturing.Candidate must be flexible for material handler responsibilities and getting forklift certified as Joe requires that for his department in addition to operating hoists for material movement through the department and onto the equipment if necessary.Much of the raw product will be in crates wherein they will place cones/cups into the machining centers (Mills mainly) program, input specs, run equipment, monitor the runs and pull finished product out of machines (Machines that etch out shapes in the sheet metal with multi- tool "Machine centers" will be necessary. Candidates will be trained on their specific equipment; however must have CNC operation experience.Candidate will be expected to perform lifting up to 50 lbs however cups don't weight quite that much; generally in that department is just repetitive lifting of 20 lbs; candidates will often load their own machines and use "lift assists"Candidates will work with machinery and around work stations that may require the use of a mouse and a computer for basic data entry when necessary however most of the work will require learning CNC equipment to machine parts for bearings manufacturing process.Skills:machine operation, manufacturing, material handling, inspection, CNC, micrometer, tape measure, machine operating, packaging, crane operation, production, overhead crane, Mechanical, auto mechanic, Grinding, Mechanical Aptitude, Equipment Maintenance, assembly, CNC, mill, blueprint, operation, CNC mill.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Candidates should have experience working in a team manufacturing environment, ideally with metal fabrication experience (punch, break, shear) however any CNC machine experience could compareThey will consider candidates that have minimal machine operating as long as they have strong, tenured work history and aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. Candidates that have come from an automotive mechanic experience or with that type of mechanical aptitude will be considered and are preferred in addition to manufacturing.The ideal candidate for these roles are candidates that have been in manufacturing for a minimum of 3 years, can repetitively lift 40 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks in a team atmosphere when needed but must be more than "button pusher" machine operators OR have the ability to learn more complex systems.Candidates must be flexible to work ALL shifts.
