The Maintenance Apprentice (Journeyman) will assist the Maintenance Journeyman on installations, repairs, erecting, dismantling, assembling and maintaining all types of plant machinery, equipment, structures, and electrical or electronic equipment and component parts. This is a training position for Maintenance Journeyman that includes on-the-job training, as well as attending apprenticeship courses. The Maintenance Apprentice (Journeyman) will:Assists with maintenance and repairs to a variety of electro-mechanical equipment which includes: inspection equipment, batch house systems, forming machines, fans, air compressors, vacuum pumps, air conditioning systems, conveying, packaging, and warehouse.Helps team to ensure the proper functioning of the piping systems; air, heating, water, and drainage, electrical distribution, communication systems and the fire alarm system.Comply with all Safety Programs requiredPerforms routine, preventive, and emergency repairs, under any circumstance or environment, in a safe, timely and efficient manner.Learns precision equipment installations using the appropriate measuring devices.Calibrate and set-up measuring and inspection equipment throughout the plant.Learn skills with the tools of the trade to include testing and measuring equipment, rigging, and all applicable safety equipment.
