Job Title: Mammography Technologist - Virginia BeachJob DescriptionThe Mammography Technologist is responsible for the maintenance and quality of patient care on a continuing basis for the mammography department and throughout the organization. The role involves producing a variety of high-quality radiographs through proper positioning and technique, performing visual preventative safety inspections, and communicating any equipment malfunctions or low inventory levels. Additionally, the technologist will utilize the Radiology Information Computer System (RICS) for entering orders, practice radiation safety in accordance with department policies, confirm patient identity prior to procedures, and perform scheduled procedures. Attendance at hospital-wide orientations, meetings, and in-services is required, as well as a commitment to flexible work scheduling to ensure patient care.Hard Skills
ARRT registered - REQUIRED
Certified in Mammography
BLS certification
Experience in radiography
Knowledge of Radiology Information Computer System (RICS)
