Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob DescriptionDesign, develop, characterize, optimize, and validate manufacturing equipment and production lines for battery systems. Use CAD to design tooling and fixtures for machining, fabrication, assembly, rework, and work simplification. Perform cost reductions as required, especially related to process, tooling, and fixture improvement. Have a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kanban, and Kaizen. Promote safety awareness and provide a safe work environment. Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures while reporting all unsafe activities and concerns to the Director of Operations or Human Resources Manager. Perform any additional related duties as assigned.Responsibilities
Design, develop, characterize, optimize, and validate manufacturing equipment and production lines for battery systems.
Use CAD to design tooling and fixtures for machining, fabrication, assembly, rework, and work simplification.
Coordinate problem troubleshooting of factory equipment in conjunction with Industrial Engineering technicians, machine suppliers, and other entities as needed.
Support capital expenditure justification analysis and project budget tracking.
Create and maintain factory shop floor layouts to optimize the use of floor space, materials, personnel, and equipment.
Support project management for capital equipment acquisition, prepare cost estimates, timelines, and budgets for proposed improvement initiatives and planned lines.
Perform any additional related duties as assigned.

B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
