Locations: Hampton, VA or Pocasset, Mass The HII Unmanned System Group is seeking a Master Scheduler with EV experience to work in a government contracting environment. The Master Scheduler will work with both internal and external teams to ensure integrated master schedules are accurately developed and maintained. The selected candidate will also be responsible for growing and developing his/her team of schedulers and analysts as required based on business needs.

The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. This position will support HII's Unmanned Systems Group. Position will report to the Program Management Office Manager and include a wide variety of independent support tasks such as project schedule development and maintenance and review of budgets. You will have the following to qualify for this position:
  • Experience with project control and scheduling experience including development and maintenance of resource loaded Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules and producing cost baselines
  • Experience working in project management environments in accordance with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • Experience developing full monthly Earned Value Management System (EVMS) compliant reports
  • Experience developing detailed schedules and estimates
  • Must have experience managing a team, including schedulers and analysts, across multiple programs and projects.

What you will be doing

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

What we are looking for

  • 8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance. #LI-MH1 TL EP MV

Bonus points for

  • Preferred candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Preferred candidate will have experience using Primavera P6, MS Project and Deltek products.

Physical Requirements

Job performance may require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
