Metal Fabricator Operator

Job Title: Metal Fabricator / Burn Table OperatorJob DescriptionSeeking skilled Metal Fabricator / Burn Table Operator to handle steel beam and steel plate cutting equipment. The role involves punching holes, cutting designs, or cutting steel to size per customer orders. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints for large products, operating CNC equipment, manipulating programs on HMI, using measuring equipment, and operating overhead cranes for material transport. Additional training may be provided for saw operations, steel bending, and other large steel fabrication machinery. The role requires the ability to work well with trainers and teams, ensuring safety and communication in the facility. Candidates must also learn and retain information based on color, as the inventory system relies on painted beam ends.Hard Skills

CNC Operating (3-5 years)

Manufacturing (3-5 years, ideally)

Heavy Industry (1-2 years)

Ability to operate turn-style CNC mills

Experience with overhead cranes

Proficiency in reading tape measures and other measuring equipment

Soft Skills

Ability to read and interpret large scale drawings and blueprints

Strong team collaboration

The environment can be very hot in summer and cold in winter. All machine operations are indoors where conditions can include sparks and loud noises from equipment. The flooring varies from gravel to concrete.
