Job Title: Mid-Level Drupal DeveloperWork Location: RemoteClearance Required: Public TrustPosition Description/Scope of Work:Alpha Omega is seeking a Drupal Web Developer to support a development team in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will provide daily operations and maintenance support for various Agency public-facing and employee-facing websites, web applications, web servers, and web systems existing within multiple web system environments. Responsibilities:- Maintain and update existing websites and web applications functionality including but not limited to Agency public-facing and internal-facing Drupal/PHP CMS and legacy static/PHP websites.
- Develop and maintain Forest Service Agency public-facing websites using various web technologies, including but not limited to Drupal versions 7, 8, and above CMS websites, based on the USDA Digital Strategy Playbook and U.S. Web Design System, and comply with the 21st Century Integrated Digital Experience Act (https://digital.gov/resources/21stcentury-integrated-digital-experience-act/)
- Deploy Agency websites in a centralized, large-scale environment and within an architecture that easily facilitates the management of common theme(s), modules, or other shared components for large-scale and/or standalone websites.
- Design, develop, test, migrate and maintain the implementation of existing Forest Service public-facing and internal-facing web sites and web applications and web components some of which may be currently hosted on external partner domains.
- Integrate and maintain websites and web applications and systems with other internal and external applications, tools, and databases.
- Use Agency approved and specified GitHub repository to store source code, document code, release packages, and associated artifacts. Use Agency approved and specified GitHub repository to store source code, document code, release packages, and associated artifacts.
Required Skills:- 3+ years of development experience
- Experienced building responsive websites using Drupal CMS, HTML, XHTML, CSS, CSS3, and JavaScript with or without using frameworks like JQuery
- Agile Development
- Knowledge of PHP, PHP files and theme functions, and knowledge of the Drupal theme layer
- Can convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
- Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle eg Requirements, Design, Development, Testing and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLC
Desired Skills: Required Certification(s): Desired Certification(s):- Drupal Certification is a plus
Required Education:- Bachelor's Degree in Business or an IT-related field, which can be substituted for technical certifications
