Career Opportunity:βThe Reliability Technician performs various preventative, predictive and maintenance procedures including predictive analysis (vibration, IR, etc.), troubleshooting, preventative rounds, lubrication, some mechanical work and other tasks as needed. The technician is expected to follow plant safety procedures such as Lockout/Tagout and perform pre-task checklists. Typically, a day shift position, overtime may be required to complete assigned tasks, perform work on extended machine outages or other requirements that may arise. β The position reports to the Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent but at times may be reporting to the Maintenance Manager, Production Superintendent, Production Supervisor or General Manager depending on who is present during the time. Participates in the safety program for the maintenance department and works to exceed all safety standards and requirements mandated by the plant and OSHA
Understand basic piping and tubing requirements including correct fittings, couplings and unions.
Understand and be able to troubleshoot lubrication and vibration issues
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment through daily and assigned rounds/duties
Proper lubrication of equipment
Rigging
Assist in failure analysis to improve work and equipment performance
Maintain clean work area and perform housekeeping as required.

What you need to succeed:
MLT1 or above certification
CAT 1 or above vibration certification
Advanced hydraulic troubleshooting and servicing qualification(s) - ISO standard preferred
Alignment certification from an approved supplier/vendor
Documented history of at least 2 years in an industrial reliability technician role
Familiar with test equipment i.e. meters, calipers, etc.
Millwright experience of 2+ years preferred, but will train.
Educational background including associate degree, trade school or apprenticeship in maintenance highly considered. Extensive experience in lieu of education also recognized.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of and basic computer skills
β Preferred Qualifications:
5 years maintenance experience, preferably in a heavy industrial setting
Excellent problem-solving ability
JDE or other computer experience
Knowledge of paper mill processes and equipment
Physical requirements: Heights, confined space, ability to lift 51 lbs. and carry up to 50 lbs.
Detail oriented and able to work with minimum supervision
