Qualifications :
  • University Degree in computer science, engineering, or management and 5 years function related experience, or Higher Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training with 8 years function related experience
    • A minimum of 5 years demonstrable experience in the last 10 years in the field of M&S management to include initiation, planning, and execution of M&S projects at the capability level
    • Demonstrable 3 years’ experience in the last 10 in international military environments.
    • Demonstrable 5 years’ experience in the last ten in M&S programs in the defense sector. Experience in program and project boards and development of decision support briefings
    • Demonstrable 5 years’ experience in the last 10 in M&S supporting the design, development, planning and reporting of wargames, exercises, experiments, seminars, simulations, workshops, or other similar events.
    • Demonstrable experience in using simulation to support the development of analytical studies at the operational and strategic level
    • Have a working knowledge of project management techniques and demonstrated success in using them to deliver capabilities. Experience in initiation and management of programs and projects, development of exception and routine reports, and management of work breakdown packages.
    • Perform development of methodology, design, execution, post-processing, and socialization of M&S in support of analytical wargames.
    • Define requirements for NATO M&S standards to be developed by the NMSG related to operation analysis, wargames and decision making.
    • Conduct, in coordination with the Future Technology Branch of SPP, specific M&S technology watch, with a particular focus on disruptive technologies, game changing solutions and potential innovation opportunities for NATO.
    • As directed, support to the entire command in order to coherently and effectively outreach, influence and collaborate with M&S entities such as the M&S COE, the NATO M&S Group of the NATO Science & Technology Organization (in coordination with the Future Technology Branch), industry, and academia.
    • Knowledge of the NATO Command Structure (NCS) and NATO Force Structure (NFS)
    • Knowledge of the M&S entities within NATO e.g. HQ SACT, JWC, JFTC, M&S COE, NCIA, etc.
    • Practical experience with PC office automation products, including the use of internet for information research.
    • Conduct work to identify, scope and define NATO needs that may be satisfied with M&S, on strategic and operational planning, functional planning (logistics, CIS, etc.), testing and visualization of new concepts, operational experimentation and war gaming events, definition of NATO capabilities including enabling the evaluation of architectures and comparison of alternative solutions and test of new NATO capabilities against its user requirements.
    • Conduct work with NATO institutions, allied and partner governmental organizations when duly authorized, as well as academia and industry from NATO nations to research and identify potential M&S solutions to NATO needs.
