- See Mulesoft API Engineer profile for basic job responsibilities.
- A minimum of 12+ years experience in the IT development of which the last 8 years needs to be in API development.
- Minimum of 4+ years as Mulesoft tech lead with clear understanding of Mulesoft product and development practices.
- A Minimum of 2+ years experience on architecting, designing Mulesoft API based engagements.
- Mulesoft certified professional.
- Strong knowledge of security aspects of Mulesoft not limiting to 2way TLS, trust stores, OAuth 2.0 integrations and SAML Integration.
- Platform expertise with strong knowledge on underlying infrastructure for Mulesoft.
- Strong knowledge on API Patterns and be able to setup guidelines for the engineering team to develop on patterns.
- Expertise in developing tooling required to automate processes.
- Experience in implementing solutions using Mulesoft Extensions.
- Experience with any of these: Docker, Kubernetes.

- Experience in TDD and specifically implementing TDD/BDD for Mulesoft components.
- Experience in Test/Mock frameworks like JUnit, JMockit, Mockito, Wiremock, Cucumber, Mocha, etc.
- Experience in rolling out API Developer Portal and understand API Product configuration.
- Understand of microservices architecture to conceptualize overall API solutions.
- Experience implementing Mulesoft platform compliance requirements like PII, PCI DSS, etc.

- Controls
- Audit requirements
- Contribution to Opensource Mulesoft related tools in Github is a plus.
