Overview
Credence Management Solutions, LLC is searching for a highly skilled and motivated IT Network Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong understanding of Windows operating systems, familiarity with Cisco networking devices and interfaces, routinely thinks outside the box to solve problems quickly and understands what impeccable customer service is all about. The work will be performed out of our Credence's Vienna, VA office. The candidate should possess 5+ years of relevant experience. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for Provide technical oversight for Corporate WAN and Wireless Infrastructure including planning, implementation/expansion, maintenance, and troubleshooting and resolving high level support tickets. The Network Administrator will ensure our systems are running smoothly and securely, upgrading software/hardware to provide optimal performance. Responsibilities- Identify known and unknown network vulnerabilities and ways to counteract them
- Implement configure and manage security software and tools such as anti-virus, firewall, intrusion detection and more
- Analyze and monitor the network and implement patches and fixes to address potential security holes.
- Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
- Provide technical oversight for Corporate WAN and Wireless Infrastructure including planning, implementation/expansion, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Responsible for network configuration management and backups
- Prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts.
- Train team members on new hardware or software.
- Provide hardware and operating system support for the corporate systems environment
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks
- Write technical documentation for Knowledge Base to be shared internally.
- Assist with internal and external auditing
- Assist with trouble ticket resolutions tier 2 and higher where necessary
- Ensure that systems, phone system, and networks are meeting 99% uptime
- ship required with ability to obtain at minimum of a Secret Clearance
- Bachelor degree in: Computer Science, IT or related field (equivalent experience will be considered)
- 5+ years of related experience in systems support or computer administration
- Strong understanding of Windows Operating Systems
- Experience managing, repairing and imaging laptops
- Highly proficient using Microsoft Office applications
- Able to read and understand technical manuals
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks accordingly
- WAN/ Cisco experience preferred.
