Location: Triangle, VA Salary: Negotiable Description: Network Engineer
Job Description:My client is looking to bring on a new Network Engineer with an active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance (cannot be considered for this role without one of these clearances) to work a hybrid role (50% in the office and 50% at home) to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for conflicts regarding Video Management Systems (VMS) and for camera deployments in a wired and wireless environment.Job Duties:- Ensure successful camera and special event deployments by training Tech Ops on VMS and troubleshooting all VMS and VPN issues
- Maintain corporate VMS/VPN to provide oversight, backup recording, and central method of delivering video from all detachments to customers
- Liaise with VMS providers on highly technical issues and provide solutions
- Liaise with external partners and agencies to share and ingest video feeds
- Provide 24/7 support for operations to ensure mission success
- Provide Tech Ops with camera best settings for each unique environment to ensure maximum video quality and mission success
- Provide 24/7 support to Field Operations
- Troubleshoot any and all IT issues throughout the company
- Must have either an active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance
- B.A. Degree in a relatable field of study with 7 years of networking and 3 years of specialized networking experience OR 12+ years of overall networking experience
- Must have at least 1 DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (preferably a CompTIA Security+)
- Prior experience working with Cisco and/or Juniper brand equipment (Ubiquiti and/or Linksys is a plus)
