A recognized services organization in Virginia is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their staff in Richmond as their new Network / Infrastructure Project Manager. In this role, the Network / Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing infrastructure projects covering areas such as WAN / circuit connectivity for remote facilities, data center, building renovations, security architecture, network configuration and upgrades.
Responsibilities: The Network / Infrastructure Project Manager will:- Oversee various system projects of a highly complex nature
- Assemble a project team, assign individual responsibilities, identify appropriate resources needed, and develop schedule to ensure timely completion of project and meeting deadlines of project
- Monitor assignments, ensuring that deadlines and budgets are met
- Evaluate project progress and results
- Ensure that projects meet budget goals and deadlines
- Provide leadership to subordinate personnel and coordinate personnel activities
- Perform other duties, as needed
- 4+ years of relevant work experience
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with data center / network / facilities projects
- Project Management background
- Experience with Project Forecasting.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Analysis
- Microsoft Office Suite proficient
- Solid problem solving and time management skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
- 10+ years of experience managing large scale data center/network projects
