Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, located in Charlottesville, VA has an immediate need for a Nurse Employee Health 3. I nitially, the nurse will provide full-time onsite services at the Charlottesville, VA site. We have a new manufacturing site opening in Waynesboro, VA and once the new manufacturing facility is completed the nurse will then split time between the Charlottesville and Waynesboro sites.Hours: Mon. - Fri. 8:00 am - 4:30 pm - Nurse will have the opportunity to work an alternate work day schedule if approved (9/80, 4-10's).Description of Nurse 3 Duties :

Respond to emergencies and administer first aid to employees for job related illnesses and injuries.

Deliver OSHA and job/site/contract required surveillance program services (i.e. hearing conservation, respiratory protection, visual acuity, bloodborne pathogens, biological monitoring, etc.) to identified employee populations in collaboration with Environmental Health and Safety. Note: most of these services are performed offsite by an outside clinic, but the nurse will be responsible for scheduling, obtaining and reviewing all results from the clinic.

Maintain accurate recordkeeping in electronic medical records system (Cority) in compliance with OSHA requirements.

Dispense OTC Medications.

Work with industrial toxicology and/or hygienists to recognize environmental factors and/or stresses in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health, or discomfort among the workers. Nurse will assist in providing appropriate training to management and employees.

Maintain compliance with laws, regulations and standards governing occupational health and safety for employees and the workplace.

Required Basic Qualifications:

At least 5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse with Bachelors of Science in Nursing or 3 years with Masters of Science in Nursing

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and internet navigation

Strong presentation skills

Ability to work independently or with a team on special projects

Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills

Strong attention to detail

Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously

Ability to maintain confidential documents and information

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines

Ability to function within all levels of organization and at various locations

Required certifications:

CPR/BLS

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years in occupational health

Preferred Certifications:

Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC)

Spirometry (NIOSH approved course optimal)

Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN)

Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)

Salary Range: $76,600 - $115,000The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
