About us: Brittany's Transit Services serves as one of the leading transportation providers in the Central Virginia area. Our services include ambulatory, wheelchair, and stretcher transport.
About the Role: You will serve as office manager supervisor and dispatcher of Brittany's Transit Services. The supervisor will assists the owner in managing the day-to-day operations during their assigned shift. In this role you will assist BTS leadership in ensuring that all phone calls and communications are handled timely and professionally, trips are dispatched promptly and efficiently, and maintain awareness of all personnel and vehicles at all times. You will also enforce company policies, ensure compliance with company procedures, and provide education or discipline as necessary.
Prerequisites:
Be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
Hold a valid driver’s license.
Have an acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with company policy.
Have 2+ year of dispatching experience
Not have been convicted or found guilty of any crime, offense, or regulatory violation, or participated in other prohibited conduct
Requirements
Supervise current staff which involves duties such as assigning and reviewing rides, maintaining BTS standards, problem solving, employee counseling and discipline.
Provide guidance and oversight to the team regarding work assignments, vehicles, service capabilities, and effective utilization of resources.
Resolve issues/inquiries from staff regarding work assignments, vehicles, equipment, etc.
Accurately maintain unit statuses and trip compliance.
Utilize different reports and maintain appropriate workloads across Communications team and Operations personnel.
Assist Communications team with customer service needs and speak with customers as requested or needed.
Enforce BTS's standard operating procedures and document any deviations from SOP.
Assist in maintaining equipment and technology required for staff.
Maintain clear and concise communication with employees, leadership, hospital staff, and other medical personnel utilizing two-way radios, phones, and email.
Perform investigations and prepare reports of observations/incidents.
Assist in training of new personnel.
Identify staff training, development, and disciplinary needs. Assist in the development of performance improvement plans.
Work in parallel with owners to problem solve and create unique solutions.
Other tasks as assigned by leadership.
