These interactions lead to further insights and understanding by the BA of the customer’s needs and intentions and the confidence of the customer in Lockheed Martin’s understanding of the operational environment, technology applications and functionality, and measures of effectiveness, all leading to strong and enduring relationships and business outcomes.The successful candidate will join a team of experienced operations project managers, wargame designers, and wargame analysts at the CFI, often referred to as the “Lighthouse”, in Suffolk, VA engaging in the development and execution of experimentation, analysis, and capability demonstration. This position reports directly to the CFI’s Senior Manager for Operations & Wargaming. This position requires a strategic thinker with the ability to identify, examine and shape opportunities around customer needs. The work will be in a fast-paced environment and will require the individual to think in multi-dimensional space, multi-task and pay attention to details, delivering flawless execution on all assignments.The successful candidate will serve as a principal point of contact and liaison with the LM BAs, Corporate Engineering, Technology & Operations (CET&O), and government partners on wargames, table-top exercises, workshops and studies. The incumbent will participate in the design and development of these types of events through application of Lockheed Martin’s LightWorx™ (deliberate planning and system integration) process. This individual will be responsible for managing a portfolio of concurrent projects that involve modelling & simulation applications, analysis and experimentation capabilities. The incumbent will additionally provide subject matter expert (SME) insights during peer review and consultation sessions associated with projects assigned to other CFI teams. An understanding of the LM CFI operational construct including interface with external operational customers (Army/Navy/Air Force/Marine Corps), with CET&O organizations, and with LM BA programs in support of experiments, demonstrations, analysis, and technical exchanges is key.The individual must be able to work independently under general direction on complex problems involving all phases of event planning and execution. The individual will participate in strategic, operational, and tactical level planning and management studies, assessments, and BA outreach. This individual will be required to develop presentations, worksheets, and documents utilizing Microsoft Office and should have sufficiently advanced knowledge to prepare professional presentations for leadership and customers. The selected individual will possess strong interpersonal and communications skills and demeanor to represent the LM and the CFI to customers, teammates, executive management, and staff.This position will require some travel.Basic Qualifications: Analytical Event (Wargaming, Tabletop Exercises, Experimentation) Design and Analysis experience. Established technical expertise in related areas. Experience interfacing with military, inter-company, and industry partners at a high level. Strong customer relations expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills sufficient to comfortably and effectively present at a senior leadership (business and military) level. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools.Desired Skills: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/technical discipline from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an expert, authority in discipline. In-depth knowledge of DoD mission and concepts of operations.
