Description We are seeking a meticulous Payroll Accountant to join our team based in Alexandria, Virginia. This role offers an exciting opportunity in the government contracting industry, focusing on processing multistate employee payroll including preparing journal entries in Deltek Costpoint. As a Payroll Accountant, you will be instrumental in reconciling payroll accounts, generating monthly reports, and addressing payroll-related queries. Responsibilities: Process labor corrections in Costpoint and reconcile labor for payroll cycle Reconcile and balance payroll and benefits related accounts monthly; resolve discrepancies Conduct variance analyses of payroll and benefit related accounts Oversee multi-state payroll compliance and filings, conduct monthly audits of benefit deductions Post payroll journal entries in Costpoint Prepare W2s and payroll reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis Utilize Full Cycle Payroll and General Journal skills to ensure accurate and efficient processing Use Deltek Costpoint and Multi-state Payroll skills to manage and maintain payroll accountsAll interested candidates in this Payroll Accountant role and other full-time opportunities in the DMV please send your resume to contact Justin Decker via LinkedIn.
