Description We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team in the healthcare industry, located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. As a Payroll Administrator, you will be in charge of managing payroll processes for a large healthcare system. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, allowing you to become a vital part of our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Responsibilities: Oversee the processing of payroll for a large healthcare system, ensuring all transactions are conducted accurately and in a timely manner. Handle the tasks of payroll tax filing and reporting, adhering to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations. Perform reconciliations to ensure accurate payroll records. Assist with month-end support, providing crucial data and reports as needed. Utilize 'Workday' and 'Workday Payroll' software to streamline and automate payroll processes. Maintain and update employee records, ensuring all information is current and accurate. Carry out any necessary action on customer accounts, responding proactively to any issues or discrepancies. Leverage skills in 'Benefits Payroll' and 'Multistate Payroll' to manage diverse payroll requirements. Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Requirements Must have a background in the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industries. Previous experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role is highly desirable. Proficiency in using Workday and Workday Payroll is required. Must have knowledge and experience in handling Benefits Payroll and Multistate Payroll. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are necessary. Must have the ability to handle confidential information responsibly. The candidate should possess strong organizational skills and be able to multitask effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required. Must have a strong ethical framework and adhere to all detail oriented standards. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications in payroll or human resources are a plus. Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
