Payroll Clerk

Description We are offering a contract-to-permanent employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Chesapeake, Virginia, in the Business Services industry. The role involves handling payroll and benefits, utilizing accounting software systems, and ensuring accurate HR onboarding and reporting. Responsibilities: Processing payroll and benefits for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Utilizing Accounting Software Systems effectively to facilitate the payroll process. Maintaining and updating employee payroll records in ADP Workforce Now - Payroll. Handling onboarding & benefits administration duties, ensuring all employee records are up-to-date. Regularly engaging with the HR Reporting system to provide accurate and timely reports. Ensuring compliance with payroll laws and regulations. Addressing and resolving any payroll related inquiries from employees. Utilizing Excel for various data management and reporting tasks. Verifying and applying codes within ADP for accurate payroll processing. Performing filing tasks as required to maintain organized records.Requirements Minimum of two years of experience in a payroll clerk role or similar Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential Demonstrated experience in Filing and maintaining accurate records Familiarity with ADP - Payroll system or a similar payroll software Strong attention to detail and ability to work with confidential information Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously High level of reliability and commitment to meeting deadlines Basic knowledge of business services industry is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
