Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a PC Technician RVA based in Roanoke, Virginia, 24019, United States, within the internet service provider industry. This role involves the installation of wireless routers and a limited number of monitors for PCs. Responsibilities: Responsible for the setup and installation of wireless routers Ensure the installation of a limited number of PC monitors Handle the necessary adjustments which might involve moving small weights and accessing confined spaces, like under tables Use personal Power Drill or Power screwdriver with Phillips head for installations Manage project completion, willing to extend working hours if needed for project completion Utilize skills in Computer Hardware, Database, Dell Technologies, EO/IR systems, Linux Technologies, AB Testing, Active Directory, Apple Devices, Backup Technologies, Cable Installation for effective job performance. Requirements Proficiency in Computer Hardware, with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various devices Familiarity with Database management and operations, including data storage, retrieval, and backup Knowledge of Dell Technologies and their application to support and enhance business operations Experience with EO/IR systems, with the capacity to understand and apply these systems effectively Proficiency in Linux Technologies, including administration, file systems, and command line interface Understanding of AB Testing principles and ability to implement them to optimize system performance Experience with Active Directory, including user and group management, and policy implementation Familiarity with Apple Devices and their operating systems, and the ability to troubleshoot any related issues Knowledge of Backup Technologies, with the ability to implement and maintain secure data backup solutions Experience with Cable Installation, including understanding of network infrastructure and ability to install and troubleshoot network cables.
