Performance Engineer

Performance Tester will create and maintain performance test plan, perform load and stress testing using JMeter/LoadRunner/other market leading Performance Testing tool, monitor and analyze metrics from application and system logs.Duties and Responsibilities

8+ Years of experience in Performance Testing

Gather non-functional requirements working with Business/project/architect team

Prepare performance test strategy & plan

Identify and request test data and monitoring needs

Do the Prod Vs PT environment capacity assessment

Conduct risk assessment and identify the right candidate for performance testing

Oversee and review the PT deliverables and raise the risk on time

Conduct Daily/Weekly/Defect triage calls with the respective stakeholders

Define the RACI matrix, escalation matrix, and process for both enterprise and vendor stakeholders

Evaluate planned performance deliverables progress, identify blockers and manage/mitigate risks on time

Coordinate with support teams to resolve application, data, and performance issues

Expertise in LoadRunner with Citrix, Web, web services, mobile protocols.

Hands on JMeter knowledge is required

Experience in performance engineering activities to deep dive analysis and help the team to identify performance bottlenecks

Prepare the performance test closure report and get the signoff with required stakeholders

Performance testing closure with the required artifacts and documents created and shared

Collaborate with offshore & onshore teams for on time project delivery

Design experiments to demonstrate business value of Proof of Concepts

Conduct secondary research to keep abreast of all emerging research

Create solution focused material

Create methodologies, frameworks and methods for solution delivery

Identify the training needs and conduct internal sessions to meet the same

Conduct workshop based on the specific requirements gathered from project leads

Analyze technology landscape, process, tools etc. to arrive at the technology roadmap best fit for Dollar Tree

Design the solution, approach, engagement model, delivery mode etc. based on the gap analysis

Seek review inputs from the relevant stakeholders on the same

Provide inputs to testing solutions

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

Bachelor's or Higher Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related.

Strong self-driven collaborator with ability to work in diverse teams as a contributing member

Experience on Public Cloud GCP/Azure/AWS

Comprehensive understanding of Linux (Unix) performance principles and metrics

Expert skills in one or more load testing tools (e.g. JMeter, LoadRunner, SOAPUI, Microsoft Visual Studio, Selenium, etc.)

Expert knowledge of Linux (Unix) commands and scripting language

Proven data analysis and problem-solving skills

Good understanding of SQL

Excellent verbal and writing communication skills

Strong Performance Testing and Engineering Lifecyle skills

Strong performance analytical skills

Desired Qualifications

Experience working with IT systems integrators and hardware vendors

Should possess product level knowledge – cloud/Kafka/data lake/Microservices

Team player with excellent collaboration
