The Performance Tester serves as a
JMeter Subject Matter Expert and performs analysis of systems and requirements. Analyze application performance with relevant tools. The Tester also directs or assists in the design of test plans in support of user requirements for moderately complex to extremely complex IT systems. The Tester will perform activities such as determining what performance testing strategy to implement; writing technical test plans, test case scenarios, identifying what and how loads and metrics to be collected; ability to identify which protocol is best to use for building scripts and connecting to test environment interfaces; conducting various types of tests and collecting necessary metrics; writing test analysis documents highlighting key findings and recommendations; perform code reviews. Analyze the problem and the information to be processed. Define the problem, and develops system requirements and program specifications, plan and monitor the optimization of system operation and resource utilization and perform performance engineering and systems capacity analysis and planning. Write white papers for best practices and develop procedure documents for JMeter testing preparation and functions.The Tester MUST have the following:- Prior experience setting up JMeter test harness and scripts.
- Possesses and applies Performance testing expertise on multiple complex work assignments which are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
- Ability to apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
- Ability to plan and lead major technology assignments.
- Ability to evaluate performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
- Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
- Some coding/scripting experience.
- Some tool integration experience.
- Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
- Highly self-motivated and accountable for tasks assigned.
- Ability to work on their own without supervision/guidance.
- Strong communication skills.
