This position is contingent on contract award.This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program.  The person in this position will represent International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. and provide services outlined below: International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. is looking for an individual who is an experienced Family Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive medical care to patients, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of health issues. They serve as the first point of contact for patients, coordinating overall healthcare needs and fostering long-term relationships to promote optimal health and wellness. Key Responsibilities:Employ principles of Primary care for management of acute and chronic conditions.  Provide initial evaluation, treatment and management of minor wound care, respiratory illness, gastrointestinal illness, burns, musculoskeletal trauma, dermatological illness, ENT, eye and urological problems.  Provide initial evaluation and ongoing management of chronic diseases, such as, coronary artery disease, atherovascular disease, Type I and II diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, PTSD, depression and other chronic medical and psychiatric conditions.  Be present on time for any scheduled tour of duty as documented by physical presence in Primary Care at the scheduled start time.  Follow all established medication policies and procedures. No sample medications shall be provided to patients.  Provide notification of test results for patients receiving care in accordance with VHA Directive 1088, Communicating Test Results to Providers and Patients. Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and meetings with committee participation as required by the facility Chief of Service, Chief of Staff, or designee. Complete the appropriate QM/PI documentation pertaining to all procedures, complications and outcome of examinations. Document care given and select appropriate Evaluation and Management (E&M) procedure codes in the current EHR. Documentation must be sufficient to support both the E&M and procedure codes. Documentation and coding functions must be completed by the end of each patient care encounter. Attend staff meetings as required by the facility Chief of Service, Chief of Staff, or designee. Follow all established patient safety and infection control standards of care. Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies. This list is non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties that are not specifically listed above.
