JOB DESCRIPTION: The Project Manager will work with a Business Analyst and serve as the liaison between the business community/end users and the IT organization.RESPONSIBILITIES:- The project manager is responsible for managing the project scope, schedule and budget and reporting to IT management and the business stakeholders/owners on a weekly basis or as agreed upon.
- The project manager will assist the IT Division staff in responding to vendor queries, and performing the vendor evaluation process and contract negotiations as necessary.
- The PM will direct the Business Analyst throughout the project to ensure the objectives and requirements for a new system are fully defined.
- The Project Manager, in coordination with the Business Analyst, will be responsible for the identification, analysis, tracking, and recommendation of appropriate actions to project issues including those that are technology-related.
- Responsible for the identification and management of project risks.
- Coordination and completion of the assigned projects that will result in the design, execution of procurement, delivery, and implementation of a new inventory management system.
- Review, analyze and evaluate user/system needs
- Project management experience with a PMP Certification.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and XL
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects lasting 6 to 12 months, with teams of 3 to 4 people.
- Demonstrated ability to train and support end-users
- Must be experienced or be familiar with warehouse management and inventory systems and logistics.
- Process optimization, best practices, change management, facilitation, and internal/external consulting is highly preferred.
- Experience with the RFP process for procurement and implementing selected solutions, including defining requirements, vendor evaluation, and negotiations.
- Should have excellent interpersonal, oral/written communication, and presentation skills.
- Extensive knowledge of applications development
- Involvement in at least two full life-cycle implementations
