Job Description

We’re looking for a dynamic, confident up-and-coming Policy Automation Engineer. In this role, you will:

  • Be a go-to resource for all things Automation
  • Support development of CSAM Road Map to include all preparations & customizations of the tool, integration of data, and schedule for moving all of IRS FISMA reportable inventory into CSAM automated processes
  • Offer automation‐oriented strategic advisory and assistance services
  • Provide recommendations for possible improvements and upgrades
  • Provide input to the Risk Management Framework process activities and related documentation (e.g., system life-cycle support plans, the concept of operations, operational procedures, and maintenance training materials)
  • Engage stakeholders to help them strengthen their automation and security capabilities
  • Use creativity and ingenuity to solve game‐changing security problems
  • Analyze and offer ideas to improve security architecture
  • A strong desire to automate processes, build software tools, and create infrastructure-as-code solutions in a DevOps environment
  • Continuously improve processes and solutions to be scalable and highly available
  • Implement automated detection and alerting of anomalous behaviors
  • Write instructional materials (e.g., standard operating procedures, production manual) to provide detailed guidance to relevant portion of the workforce
  • Provide ongoing optimization and problem-solving support

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship with the ability to get a Public Trust required
  • Experience as a solutions architect, enterprise architect, or consulting delivery architect working in on-prem and cloud-based environments
  • 3+ years hands-on experience automating infrastructure in a cloud or on-prem environment
  • Well-versed in risk management and must have experience working with SDLC
  • Ansible Automation experience preferred
  • Background in Linux systems administration
  • Experience with and working understanding of FISMA compliance, experience conducting all phases of Certification and Accreditation
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical abilities
  • Comfortable working with highly distributed teams
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and expand knowledge on existing technologies in fast paced environment
  • Understanding of and experience with CSAM is a plus
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Concise writing skills
