Piper Companies is seeking a PostgreSQL Architect to design, implement and maintain relational database systems for performance and reliability. The PostgreSQL Architect will tune and configure databases as well as build tools and scripts to monitor, troubleshoot and automate systems.
Responsibilities of the PostgreSQL Architect include: • Lead efforts in designing and building the databases and ETL process for our cloud based and intelligent multi-rail payout platform • Discover and inspire innovative solutions that address the needs of businesses and banks as they seek to deliver faster, safer payouts • Propose test plans and interface with external groups, developers and application owners to arrive at optimal solutions • Other areas of responsibility include designing and enhancing disaster recovery and backup systems • You need to be excited to both architect and do the engineering work • You will think about how we manage our data end-to-end and make/implement recommendations Qualifications for the PostgreSQL Architect include: • 5 years of experience designing and managing PostgreSQL databases with a focus on performance, security, scalability, reliability, high-availability, and disaster recovery • 3 years of experience analyzing data security requirements, architecting and implementing data security solutions • Experience in implementing ETL processes in the cloud • Experience working in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) • Experience working with high-volume transactional databases/systems • Experience with scripting and automation • Experience working with JSON, flat files, and other file formats Compensation for the PostgreSQL Architect include: • Pay Rate: $85/hr Salary Range: $160,000-180,000 base salary • Benefits: - 100% Health, Dental, Vision - 401K w/matching - PTO, Federal Holidays - Equity/Stock Option/Annual Bonus
